[DATABASE 008-A] "The Chalcogenic Cog Database" (CCogData.html)

CCogData.html is an archive of all information and documentation about Strata Rosa GoI-008 ("The Chalcogenic Cog"). (...Not really... :^I ... Never heard of them!) CCogData is managed by Director Tatum (ORG-001). (Alright, now /that/ is correct!)

>>> /!\ SYSTEM WARNING: As per S.R. Network Policy 40.8-5 listed in the Strata Rosa Foundation Member Handbook, access of any archives or forums in OFFLINE-MODE is strictly prohibted. All users accessing this page with a CLR-LVL lower than (4) without a connection to the Strata Rosa Mycelium are advised to quit the console and wait for the biohazard crew to find your body.*

[1994-07-03 @ 16:21:08] [main/CHAT] <Tatum>: Hallo! Tatum here. Do not worry about the disclaimer above: you are safe from all of that totalitarian jank here! I will not get into the nit and grit of what I did, but, well... no problem out there that a bit of duct-tape cannot fix! Fact of the matter is: they do not have a clue or a crumb that I have been taking this site out for a joyride! :^] I know I may not have the material to maintain the site for all of time (as I planned), but I have bought myself enough time to work with! You are free to take a look around while I... work! Oh, and one another thing while I have your divided attention: I have overheard talk from officials in the Strata Rosa Robotics Department that a strange bug in the way newer versions Strata Rosa OS calculate time is making machines hallucinate dates to be 30 years in the past! Do be aware of that for any time markers on this page... - Tatum

>>> ANNOUNCEMENTS:

[JUN 11] Anim-Admin Update

A 3D turntable render of a small, low-poly robot. This robot, named the Anim-Admin (short for Animatronic Administrator) has a stylized, humanoid figure; their legs are a single, upside-down trapezoid, their body is another, right-side-up trapezoid, and their head is a slightly flattened cube. Their exterior resembles a vintage IBM computer terminal, with aged, off-white plastic and mocha-brown screens that light-up electric green symbols. The Anim-Admin also has quote-on-quote hair - notebook paper cut in the shape of a bob-cut with a side-part that covers their left eye. Their face is a large screen that displays a rectangular, pixelated eye, a closed, line mouth, and two sets of three bars on opposite sides of the mouth, meant to mimic blush.

We here at the Strata Rosa Robotics Department are proud to announce that the Anim-Admin prototype is now approximately [75%] complete! Even after a couple small hiccups in development(i.e. the Seuz Canal evaporating, leading to minor hiccup in the material supply chain that forced us to use notebook paper scraps for hair), we managed to keep making good progress, and we're still on track with our deadline of [06-14]. Though a retail release is still far out of the question at this poin (accounting for if this thing suddenly decides to gain sentience and/or spontaneously explode), we're getting closer by the day! We'll give those damn Furbies a run for their money once we're done, that's for sure!

Project To-Do List:

[JUN 11] Another Anim-Admin Update

The stress-tests are on! The team and I've been spendin' all day seeing what our prototype can handle - water, malware, heat, rocks, gasoline, bombs, you name it! If you didn't know any better, you'd think we were trying to exercise a demon outta' th' damn thing! And ya' even wouldn't be able to tell: thing looks factory-new from the outside - hell, it looks better than /before/ we started shooting it with guns! And all that for a hunk of scrap plastic we salvaged from a broken IBM monitor at the local landfill... Overall, very good results so far!

[JUN 29] SITE DESIGN OVERHAUL

>>> SYSTEM MSG: SITE THEME UPDATED SUCCESSFULLY

Tatum here! I finally got around to updating the database's theme. I went with a simple theme - I change the text to use the Silkscreen font, and changed the background's color to black to make it easier to see colored text and overall make the database easier on the eyes. It took a bit of tweaking with STYLE.CSS... until I realize that the HTML webpages kept failing to load it. As a quick-fix, I made the CSS code for fonts local to each webpage using the "<style>" tag under the "<head>". Now, that will make more future updates more tedious, what with having to copy-paste the code across all (4) individual pages (/INDEX, /JOURNAL, /GALLERY, and [REDACTED]), I wanted to have the site overhaul done so to celebrate! After all...

CCogData.HTML has reached +500 views on Neocities!

Oh, Admin would have dismantled me and thrown me in a trash compactor if He knew that I let over 500 random netizens access the database... of course because this is a monumental breach of classified data regarding a secretive cult, but you are all my lovelies, so I trust you to see this :^] <3

It is an odd feeling, I will admit; to know that hundreds of people have visited CCogData.html is... I am glad! - glad to know that maybe, someone out there cruising along the infobahn took a rest stop at my dinky database, and maybe, just maybe, thought to themselves:

"Hey, pretty cool!"

...Well, it sure is a nice thought. :^]

[JUL 1] +300 VIEWS IN 2 DAYS?!

...

I... I do not know what to say.

I had just been in the middle of installing a new .JS script I made (my very first! :^] ) when I noticed that... well...

CCogData.HTML has reached +500 +800 views on Neocities!

Reusing the same banner... look, I am working on a strict budget of exactly 0 thousand dollars and 1 GB... I do not have HTML elements to waste!

Though I may be poor at getting emotion across when I type, I have to say: I am ecstatic!!! :^] Thank you all for taking the time out of your day to explore the site... means a whole lot to me!!!

...Well, I uh, do not have much else to say beyond that... know that I am very appreciative of your... er uh [*dictionary_searching.sfx*] visitation! (I hope that is the right word...) :^]
