A 3D turntable render of a small, low-poly robot. This robot, named the Anim-Admin (short for Animatronic Administrator) has a stylized, humanoid figure; their legs are a single, upside-down trapezoid, their body is another, right-side-up trapezoid, and their head is a slightly flattened cube. Their exterior resembles a vintage IBM computer terminal, with aged, off-white plastic and mocha-brown screens that light-up electric green symbols. The Anim-Admin also has quote-on-quote hair - notebook paper cut in the shape of a bob-cut with a side-part that covers their left eye. Their face is a large screen that displays a rectangular, pixelated eye, a closed, line mouth, and two sets of three bars on opposite sides of the mouth, meant to mimic blush.

[DESCRIPTION]: a sturdy, decorated tome from my OC's lore known as the "Doctrina Mechanicus III" ("Mechanical Doctrina III"). Consider it akin to the Journals from Gravity Falls.

[NAME]: "THE SLAM-FIRE"

[DATE]: "DEC 2023"

[MEDIA]: BLOCKBENCH (3D ART MODELING SOFTWARE + BUILT-IN PAINT APP)

[DESCRIPTION]: a custom weapon concept: a pump-action shotgun without a trigger that fires whenever it is pumped (much akin to the real-life "slam-firing" technique, hence it's name "The Slam-Fire"). The digitial theme is another piece of lore from OC's world; essentially, the digital realm is it's own fully-fledged plane of reality, existing in tandem with our dimension, with computers and other technology acting as "portals" through which we may manipulate it. Entities are created by humans, and oftentimes humans will gain control segments of the virtual plane of reality and attempt to exploit the realm for all that it is worth (the Strata Rosa organization, the one you have heard several times already across this webpage, exists for this reason, and is one of the main antagonists of the story). The Slam-Fire fits into this in that it is an "Admin" weapon, wielded only by high-level and powerful Strata Rosa members. Many of the features of the Slam-Fire relate to this purpose: a built-in display on the back with an integrated ammo counter, cooldown bar, and GUI that identifies the target and shows their S.R. profile; a killswitch that disintegrates the weapon, preventing it from getting into the wrong hands; several icons marking where the hand and ammo port are (do not question why a purely digital weapon requires ammo); and color-coding that emphasizes important parts of the weapon (pump, handle, display) in blue to contrast against the Slam-Fire's orange body.

[DESCRIPTION]: An Artfight attack - my one and only! Modeled for a friend, based on a Spiderverse OC of vee's named Araknit, whose heavy theming of dreams and clouds I took and distorted into this mechanical item. I am very proud of how I handled this model; it was the first time I ever experimented with making larger and more high-resolution (x64) models, and while I had to cut a few corners here and there (i.e. deciding to leave the jaw portion blank), this model challenged me, and I came away from this project having learned a lot about texturing and working within a color palette! I did write "lore" for this model, and I would copy-paste it here, however... I wrote it during a time when I was, for lack of better wording, having an identity crisis as a writer. With the nagging feeling in the back of my head that my writing was too plain and inarticulate, I would constantly try to wedge in obscure synonyms for words or try to find more roundabout ways of describing simple concepts just for the sake of it, all of which ultimately only made my writings obtuse and, ironically, /more/ inarticulate than they ever were before. All of that is to say: it is bad writing, and I am embarrassed to share it here. Nevertheless, this is still one of my favorite works!

[DATE]: "AUG 2023"

[MEDIA]: BLOCKBENCH (3D ART MODELING SOFTWARE)

[DESCRIPTION]: A personal favorite model of mine, and the "mascot" of both the database (it is in the fav-icon!) and my portfolio, the "ERFPW" (Experiment Redstone-Flux Powered Weapon", with Redstone Flux being the main, canonical source of energy for Minecraft tech mods) is a weapon-concept a drew up not too long ago - and one of my more fleshed-out ones at that.
To summarize, the ERFPW is a prototype laser cannon canonically developed by Strata Rosa (in-universe Foundation-esque group, if you recall), feeding off of energy from either it's internal power bank /or/, if empty, discharging the energy stores of other items in a player's inventory (i.e. capacitors, energy tools) as ammunition. The main gimmick is that it cannot be fired manually (similar to the Slam-Fire). Rather, the weapon works off of a infrared sensor, firing automatically (and indiscriminately) on detection of a target in its line-of-sight. With two firing modes (Beam and Pulse) accessed via the control console strapped to the side, the ERFPW is able to annhilate anything in its range with with a continous beam of concentrated energy or burst them down with several, delayed pulses.
In terms of gameplay, the ERFPW demands good aim and steady tracking by the player; the ERFPW has a very limited field-of-view (on account of the "infrared sensor" mentioned earlier actually just being a store-bought novelty laser pointer taped to its underside), and if it breaks line of sight even momentarily, the ERFPW will cease firing and enter a cooldown (5 seconds for-Pulse fire, 8 second for Beam-fire) before it can fire again. On that note, the ERFPW also needs to be warmed-up for about 5 seconds before firing as well (separate from post-fire cooldown, 10-seconds total penalty for breaking line-of-sight). Energy consumption is another factor that a player would have to consider; the ERFPW consumes massive amounts of RF, at a rate of 256rf/t, or 5120rf/s (done to balance out high damage output). Returning to the firing modes I introduced earlier, Beam delivers a constant stream of damage (8dmg/s) at the cost of high power consumption and cooldown - good for general use. Pulse, on the other hand, fires bursts with a 1 second interval; each burst deals 12dmg, but at an overall lower rate of damage accounting for the delay (6dmg/s) than Beam - better for fast-moving, high-health targets that are harder to track.

>>> SYSTEM MSG: BONUS DATA PACKET UPLOADED TO CLIENT. ACCESS? [Y/N]

[PACKET LOADED SUCCESSFULLY]

BONUS!!!: TATUM'S IMAGE RESCALE APPROXIMATION FORMULA (TIRA-Form):

For when you need to rescale an image impromptu without external image editing software.

w2 x (h1 / w1) = h2

w1 = Original Width

h1 = Original Height

w2 = New Width (set to 400px by default for 4:3 consistency)

h2 = New Height

Round to the nearest whole number for non-integer h1:w1 ratios. May result in mild (though undetectable for the most part) image distortion.

I will be including bonuses for all of you lovelies who make it to the bottom of my webpages... here, I thought to include the formula I came up with to quickly resize all of the images I used here! I do not have access to Photoshop, and the free image software I used previously shamelessly sold out to the Generative A.I. parasitoid... meaning that I had to turn to more ad-hoc means...
